Fr. Colin described the formation of the human person as “a sublime task” and to educate young people in a Christian way as “a heavenly work”, a kind of “second creation”.
The vocation is part of the mystery of the person, particularly in his relationship with God and his mission in life.

World Youth Day (WYD) is a worldwide encounter with the Pope celebrated about every three years in a different country.

World Youth Day

What is WYD?

More than a meeting that brings together thousands or even millions of young people, the World Youth Day testifies to a living Church and constantly updated. It is they, the youth, the protagonists of this great gathering of faith, hope and unity. WYD main aims, to make known to all young people of the world the message of Christ, but it is also true that through them it shows the world the “face” young Christ.

Marist Vocation Year

The Superior General of the Marist Fathers will launch a Marist Vocation Year, to reflect, to pray, and to promote vocations for the Church and to the Society. The Vocation year will be launched in November 2021.

The Vocations year wants to encourage Marists to reflect on the mystery of their own vocation and their call to personal holiness. The aim is also to find and share creative forms of vocational ministry in order to inspire young people in discernment of their own vocation. The Vocation Year will involve the participation at different levels locally and globally through reflections, inputs, online seminars and workshops
